Paid and unused leave

Plan available leave and estimate gross termination compensation.

Calculation inputs

Amounts are in euros. Check the example values before calculating.

Enter the gross amount for one working day, before income tax and employee contributions, rather than your monthly or net salary. Example: applicable gross pay of €1,500 ÷ 20 days worked = €75 per day. For 15 unused days, this gives €1,125 in gross compensation. Ask payroll/accounting for the exact daily basis under Article 177 of the Labour Code. If you do not know it, leave this field blank — we will calculate only your leave days.

Methodology and legal sources

Indicative entitlement equals annual leave times complete qualifying months divided by 12, rounded to whole days. Remaining leave equals entitlement plus valid carried-over days less used days. Gross termination compensation under Labour Code Article 224 equals unused days times the average daily base under Article 177. This does not calculate current leave pay, partial months or expiry of entitlements.
